Colorado Light Duty Accommodation Updates 2025
Effective: January 1, 2025
Colorado recently made changes to light duty accommodations for injured employees.
The first of these changes went into effect August 7th, 2024. This includes driving restrictions, meaning employers must explore non-driving roles like administrative tasks or remote work. Employees can also decline unsuitable assignments.
Effective January 1st, 2025, the benefit limits for temporary and permanent injuries have increased, and direct deposit is required for benefits upon request.
