Colorado Regulates Training Repayment Agreements
Effective: August 7th, 2024
On August 7th, 2024, Colorado passed HB24-1324, which gave the Colorado Attorney General the authority to regulate restrictive employment agreements related to training and educational expense recovery. These agreements are known as Training Repayment Agreement Provisions (TRAPs).
There are already requirements regarding training reimbursement, but this rule also requires employers to follow the guidelines laid out by the Attorney General. As of this time, the Attorney General has yet to publish any rules.
