New York Warehouse Injury Law

Effective: June 1st, 2025

New York has amended its Warehouse Worker Protection Act (WWPA), with covered employers required to create an Injury Reduction Program (IRP) that both identifies, as well as minimizes, risks of musculoskeletal injuries, illnesses, or disorders that might develop as a result of the work environment.


The IRP requirements take effect June 1st, 2025, which includes worksite evaluations. The first evaluation must be completed by June 19th, 2025.
